Chelsea are winners! They knocked off Manchester United 2-1 on Saturday afternoon to pull into a draw in points with 81. Manchester United still has the tie breaker based on goal differential. Both goals were scored by “Man Pretty“, Captain Germany, Michael Ballack! Chelsea plays again Wednesday (2008-04-30) against Liverpool in the second leg of the champions league semi-final. They drew with Liverpool 1-1 in the last game with Chelsea being the road team, so it’s kind of like a 2-1 win for Chelsea. If you’re in your unawares of how aggregate goal games work, a goal scored on the road is essentially two goals. You get more credit for a road goal then a home goal.
The Red Wings were also winners over the weekend and have a 2-0 game lead in their best of 7 series against the Avalanche.
